This Privacy Policy describes how Astrovue Private Limited ("Astrovue", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use the DocOnCall platform, including our website at www.doconcall.co, our Android mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Mobile phone number (used for authentication via OTP)
  • Full name and profile photo (optional, for personalisation)
  • Health-related information shared during consultations (chief complaint, symptoms)
  • Payment information (wallet top-up amounts; card details are processed by Razorpay and never stored by us)
  • Doctor credentials: NMC registration number, year of registration, medical council (for doctor accounts)

Information collected automatically:

  • Device identifiers (Firebase Cloud Messaging token for push notifications)
  • IP address and approximate location (city-level, for matching with nearby doctors)
  • App usage data (screens visited, features used, crash logs)
  • Consultation metadata: duration, timestamp, doctor ID (not call content)

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To authenticate you and manage your account
  • To match you with available doctors and facilitate consultations
  • To process wallet top-ups and doctor payouts
  • To send push notifications (new patient, session updates, reminders)
  • To generate and deliver digital prescriptions
  • To verify doctor credentials with the National Medical Commission (NMC)
  • To improve the Service through aggregated analytics
  • To comply with legal obligations under applicable Indian law

3. Video Consultation Privacy

Video calls are conducted using Agora's encrypted real-time communications infrastructure. DocOnCall does not record video or audio calls. Call content is streamed peer-to-peer and is not stored on our servers. Only metadata (duration, participants, timestamp) is retained for billing and support purposes.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:

  • With doctors: Your name, phone number, and complaint are shared with the doctor you consult.
  • With payment processors: Razorpay processes payment transactions. We share only what is required for payment.
  • With cloud providers: We use Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to host our infrastructure. Data is stored in data centres located in Mumbai, India.
  • With NMC verification services: Doctor NMC numbers are verified via Karza Technologies' API.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or government authority.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Consultation records (metadata and prescriptions) are retained for 5 years as required by Indian medical regulations. You may request deletion of your account by emailing support@doconcall.co; we will delete your personal data within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for data in transit, encrypted storage at rest on GCP, and role-based access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to protect your OTP and not share your account credentials.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate personal data
  • Request erasure of your personal data
  • Withdraw consent for data processing
  • Nominate a person to exercise rights on your behalf

9. Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses essential cookies only (session management, authentication tokens). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The mobile app does not use cookies.
